What is prior authorization?

Prior authorization (sometimes called “pre-authorization” or “pre-cert”) is approval from your insurance company confirming they’ll cover a specific treatment before it starts. It’s common for advanced treatments such as Personalized TMS (PrTMS) and Spravato® (esketamine).

• We prepare and submit the clinical documentation your insurer needs.
• We follow up with the insurer and keep you informed of the decision.
• If additional information is requested, we manage that back-and-forth for you.

How long does it take?

Timelines vary by insurer and treatment, but we work to move approvals along as quickly as possible so you can start feeling better sooner. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe once we’ve reviewed your plan.
